Thermo Facade

 Wood59® offers a stock program of thermally modified profiled softwood.

Thermally modified softwood reaches durability classes equal to hardwood. Unlike hardwoods, softwood can be harvested already after 15 years which makes thermally modified softwood an highly sustainable building material. Sawn timber is heated in a vacuum until 212 degrees Celsius, at this point the cell structure of the wood modifies in such a way that it becomes resistant to rot and affection caused by insects and fungous is reduced to an absolute minimum. Furthermore the dimension stability is nearly 100% once the process is finished. Wood59® is able to offer various profiles which can be installed without further treatment. If requested we can offer the thermo facade profiles painted as well.
